The German Animal Welfare Federation endeavors to make its website www.tierschutzbund.de accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG).

Which areas are not accessible?

  • PDF documents: Some PDF documents on our website are not accessible. New PDF documents should be created in an accessible version, older ones should be replaced.
  • Videos: Some videos do not contain subtitles or audio descriptions.
  • Images without alternative text: Some images on the website have no alternative text. We review and update this content on an ongoing basis.

Barriers due to economic unreasonableness

Some barriers on our website cannot be removed in the short term due to economic reasonableness. These include:

  • Historical content: Older content that was created before the current accessibility guidelines came into force may not be fully accessible. Subsequent adaptation of this content would require disproportionately high expenditure. However, new content will be created according to the current standards.
