Animal welfare associations abroad
The practical animal rescue work of the German Animal Welfare Federation does not end at Germany’s borders. We already support cooperative partners active in many European countries. True to the motto “help them to help themselves”, we offer moral and financial support to animal welfarists in southern and eastern Europe for activities such as neutering campaigns, the building of animal shelters or the rehoming of abandoned animals. We assist in direct negotiations with embassies and politicians. In justified exceptional cases, dogs from Southern Europe are rehomed appropriately in Germany via animal shelters of the German Animal Welfare Federation.
